Ngaio Marsh Open House

This is a great opportunity to visit the house and garden of Dame Ngaio Marsh, one of New Zealand’s most illustrious and successful writers of the twentieth century. The house (a Heritage building), was designed by leading Christchurch architect Samuel Hurst Seager, and remains much as Ngaio left it. A visit to the house gives you an insight into her life as a writer, film director and artist. You can discover the family treasures and antiques she collected from around the world and see where some of her most famous works were composed. This is an experience not to be missed.
