Where possible between our youth voyages, we welcome the public on board Day Sails, to enjoy the unique experience of sailing on a tall ship. Enjoy the day out, help set sails, take a turn at the helm or sit back and enjoy the experience.
Boarding:
Please meet next to the Spirit of New Zealand.
She will be located on Opua Wharf (Bay of Islands) - next to the Car Ferry wharf.
Please meet 15 - 20 minutes before the Boarding time.
You will be greeted at the gate by one of the crews, who will tick you off the list they will have.
Once on board there, will be a small safety briefing before we set sail
What to bring: Ensure you have warm clothing, soft soled shoes and rain gear if required. In the unlikely event that the weather looks doubtful on the day, please check our Spirit Facebook page or website for any notifications.
