Join three physicians – who are also poets, playwrights and prose writers – in conversation with medical student and writer Emma Espiner.
Glenn Colquhoun (Late Love: Sometimes Doctors Need Saving as Much as Their Patients) is a doctor, poet and children’s writer. Renee Liang is a paediatrician, playwright, poet, fiction writer and co-author of a new book about parenting (When We Remember to Breathe). Shaun Holt is a doctor, medical researcher and entrepreneur whose new book, Medical Cannabis, aims to give readers the information they need – by summarizing what the latest research shows about the use of cannabis as a medicine and its potential benefits and risks – to make their own informed decision before the referendum at the next general election. They are very different books, but all three writers are united by a common desire to use storytelling to demystify what they do.
