#Realtalk is a free community event featuring an art exhibition demonstrating the mental health, drug abuse, and suicide epidemic in NZ and premiering stories of youth in Tāmaki.

We have invited local artists of various ages and backgrounds to express their opinions and experiences with these issues through creativity. Exhibits include live body painting, dance, song, photography, film, illustration, poetry, short story, and interactive activities.

Community groups and organisations will be present to provide information about local services, free counselling, and lead group discussions about coping with and understanding these issues.

The purpose of this exhibition is to facilitate dialogue about these issues by provoking thought, challenging stigmas, and engaging with the community. We believe that together, we can prompt change within ourselves, the school system, public health services, and the government.

This is a pilot event by Indigo Art in conjunction with the Auckland Council and digital media brand No Six. With sufficient success and support it will continue annually.

The art exhibition will be held on Saturday May 18th from 11am-6:30pm at the Panmure Community Hall. It is recommended for a mature audience aged 13+.
