Come join one or both of our mini restorative yoga workshops designed to bring about balance and ease to a busy lifestyle. (March 21/April 2).
We are thrilled to offer a series of evening workshops targeting common ailments or discomforts which inhibit the body and mind. Experienced Restorative yoga teacher Megan Sety will provide strategies on how to manage specific issues by focusing on one or two key restorative yoga poses and breaking them right down for students to absorb maximum benefits both at the studio and at home.
Each session will include tips to help you get the most out of restorative yoga by incorporating breathing, meditation, movement and /or fascial release. Students will also receive a copy of Megan’s Restorative yoga at home booklet plus handouts/tips with photos specific to the workshop so that they feel well equipped to try them out at home if unable to get to a regular yoga class.
Session 2: Anxiety & Stress ~ Tuesday April 2nd
Studies have shown that a little bit of stress in life is healthy. However, when stress starts to dominate your lifestyle it can have a detrimental impact on health and mental wellness. A by product of stress, is anxiety.
Anxiety can be debilitating on every level, affecting sleep cycles, our immune systems and often relationships, whether at work or in a social setting. Restorative yoga is designed to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system which can trigger the ‘rest and digest’ response. The perfect antidote to chronic stress and anxiety as it will help shift the body in to a state of relaxation and calm.
The small group size will allow students quality time to ask questions, try different variations and explore the finer details of a specific pose relative to individual needs. Megan will guide you in using bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps to allow the body to fully relax and discover the healing wisdom in slowing down, becoming quiet and really listening to the needs of the body.
Classes are limited to 10 spaces for individual attention.
