Scarecrows Big Day Out

The Gladstone Scarecrows are back for 2019, so come and be a part of the scarecrow fun on November 16th! You can meander through the Gladstone district and check out the scarecrows on the Scarecrow Drive, then visit the famous Gladstone School Scarecrow Fair and finally finish the day relaxing at the Gobbler.

Print your Scarecrow Map here https://www.gladstone1.school.nz/scarecrows-big-day-out-2017/ or collect from the Wairarapa Times Age, local iSites or www.gladstone1.school.nz and drive your way around the scarecrows.

Scarecrow Fair
Visit the Scarecrow Fair between 9.30am and 2pm. Check out a range of local produce, quality craft stalls, 100s of homegrown plants and loads of family entertainment; jump on a fair ride, indulge in the gorgeous local food, then grab yourself a bargain at the mid-day monster auction! This is the Gladstone school major fundraiser for the year.

Scarecrow Competition
This year’s theme is ‘Music Memories’.
The Scarecrow Competition is open not only to those in the Gladstone district but also to schools, kindys, businesses, organisations and families that would like to make scarecrows to display at the Gobbler. There are fantastic prizes up for grabs! Times for coming and putting your scarecrow on the Gobbler are 13-15th Nov 4-7pm. Email prior to the 13th Nov if you would like to erect one on the Gobbler: scarecrows@gladstone1.school.nz

Scarecrows On the Gobbler
Enjoy a wine and wander around the ‘Scarecrows on the Gobbler’ from 2 - 6pm at 1686 Longbush Rd, Gladstone. The Gobbler is a stunning five-hole golf course providing a magical setting for the out of district scarecrow entries. Food, wine, live music and golfing activities will ensure everyone is entertained! Small donation for the school on gate entry appreciated.
