Soaking Up CO2

It is now inevitable that we will have to remove massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in order to achieve less than +1.5oC increase in global temperature by 2100. How can we do this at the necessary huge scale? Can we remove enough and in good time? Can we keep it from leaking back into the atmosphere? Which methods provide us with maximum advantages? Which might provoke unwanted harmful consequences? We have some big decisions to make.
