Wanting to take your burlesque to the next step and considering gracing the stage? Our 6-week Showgirls course is an intermediate level course taught by our head mistress Sugar Spanx with a guest spot from Hamilton burlesque star Natalia Nox.
Students will cover dance and floor movement, chair work, character 101, choreography and creating an act, connecting with the audience, improvisation, costuming, creating performer biographies and you will learn a class routine.
Classes are kept to small groups with a maximum of 10 students. We have a warm and welcoming atmosphere for people from all walks of life. R18 due to adult themes.
Our term runs for 6 weeks with the opportunity for students to perform in our student showcase taking place in November 2019.
Some of Sugar's previous students have gone on to win awards within the NZ burlesque community and are doing very well!
Solo development and private tuition is also available. Registrations are essential!
$75pp and a $10 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place.
