The Blue Tie Ball is a community event held in Marton every two years with all proceeds being donated to charity. The ball was first run in 2010 to support The Breast Cancer Foundation. Over the years the event has supported Prostate Cancer and most recently the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter.
In 2017 the Blue Tie Ball raised over $40,000.00 for the Philips Rescue Helicopter which services the greater Palmerston North and Whanganui area. Over the course of it’s time the ball has raised over $100,000.00 for charity.
This year the Blue Tie Ball will again support the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter.
