The tagline says it all. Joel Schumacher's glossy and incredibly fun The Lost Boys was the first teen vampire movie, and oh boy is it fun!
It’s also essential 80s, with a killer soundtrack, the two Coreys, leather-clad oiled-up saxophone players, big hair and incredible MTV styling all shot by Michael Chapman (Raging Bull, Taxi Driver).
It has violence, vampire happenings and laughs throughout. It constantly pokes fun at itself and horror in general, while making targeted and intentional jabs at its target audience.
