Uncle Silverback (DJ Set)

Crate digger extraordinaire, Uncle Silverback is an accomplished Turntablist, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer who performs in a various top notch Wellington Bands including Tāwhiri Funk and Newtown Rocksteady.

He grew up playing classical then jazz trombone, before falling in love with hip hop, and inspired by DJs such as Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow and Qbert began collecting records and delving deep into the craft of Turntablism and DJing. His DJ sets are an energetic and eclectic affair, spanning Funk, Soul, Jazz, Disco and Hip Hop, packed full of gems dug from deep in the crates.
