Conservation Celebration Evening

The Department of Conservation, Wakatipu District have had a fantastic year thanks to our amazing staff and fantastic business and community partners. We want to come together to celebrate the stories of conservation in our district for a night of mixing and mingling with speakers from some of the Wakatipu’s most exciting conservation initiatives. This is a huge thank you from the Department of Conservation to all the groups and individuals we have worked with over the past year.

The theme of Conservation Week 2019 is ‘Nature Needs Us’ which acknowledges that the challenges facing our natural world are unprecedented, but we can all be part of meeting those challenges with creative and ingenious solutions. In the Wakatipu we have incredible conservation stories from all sectors, and from individuals, collectives and businesses alike. This event is an opportunity to network with conservationists at The Sherwood, which has a great conservation story of its own.

Doors open from 6:30pm, nibbles and some drinks provided.
