Originally from Wellington, Rachel shifted from a career heading towards opera and musical theatre to focus on writing her own music and establishing her own musical identity.

Inspired by David Bowie, Damien Rice and late night wine, Rachel likes to pull on a dirty, raw reality making the mundane more inviting and romantic. Drawing on real life experiences, Rachel is an honest and sass driven performer with captivating stories to tell through poetically crafted lyrics.

With six strings and a series of stories through song, Rachel's sound falls in between the likes of Gabrielle Aplin and James Bay.
