A photo workshop with international award winning photographer Kevin Clarke where you will learn how to capture the softness of the sea in motion in one of New Zealand's most iconic locations, Moeraki, with its amazing boulder formations.

Suitable for photographers with a working knowledge of DSLR photography. PSNZ C Grade and above.

Equipment requirements

Digital SLR camera (preferably Canon or Nikon)
18-35mm wide angle lens or similar
Remote or cable trigger
Sturdy Tripod
Suitable winter clothing and footwear

Maori legend tells that the boulders are remains of calabashes, kumaras and eel baskets that washed ashore after the legendary canoe, the Araiteuru was wrecked at nearby Shag Point (Matakaea).

Our workshops are inclusive of share twin accommodation and breakfast. Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 guests to ensure quality one on one time with Kevin at all times.
