Jacqui will provide some insights into how a risk-based approach to managing critical incidents and business disruption is applied in the university context. She will use the Coronavirus (COVID-19) as a case-study to explore the on-going challenges and lessons learned for a tertiary provider that finds itself, once again, being significantly impacted by disruption at a critical time in the academic year.

Jacqui has worked in the tertiary sector for almost 20 years, most recently in the role of Risk Manager with the University of Canterbury in Christchurch.
Jacqui’s line management responsibilities include risk, insurance, business assurance, compliance, business continuity and emergency management.
