*Gold coin entry.
Through the universal language of performing arts, local and international artists share the stage to draw strength from cultural exchange and collaboration and provide an enriching experience for audiences that builds understanding and appreciation of both eastern and western cultures.
This year the programme has an incredible line-up that you won't want to miss - and all for a gold coin donation!
The theme of this year's show is Colours of our Culture, inspired by visual artist Guy Ngan, a second-generation Chinese-New Zealander whose work is characterised by bold colours.
The show will feature performances through song, dance and film to highlight the significance of colours to the Chinese culture; including a special appearance by the Longjiang Arts Troupe from the Chongqing province in China.
This is one of our most popular events, so be sure to get in early! There will be a livestream available on an outdoor screen at the venue (exact location TBD).
Please note there will be no intermission.
*The Chinese New Year Fireworks will follow the East Meets West show at 9:30pm on the Wellington Waterfront.
Supported by the China Cultural Central, Wellington.
