This year's Conservation Week theme is encouraging everyone to see nature through new eyes.

To celebrate Conservation Week, on the 15th and 16th of August, we will be holding some special activities at the Zoo!

Design your own reusable tote bag to reduce plastic waste, create bush art using what you can find in Meet the Locals He Tuku Aroha, make your own beeswax candle to take home, and join in on our skink game to find out how we monitor and breed Grand and Otago Skinks.

Make sure you visit the Zoo over this weekend to celebrate our beautiful indigenous wildlife and find out how you can make a difference at home.

This event is part of Conservation Week 2020.
