Meet up with our friendly club members, and try out your hoop running skills. Croquet is a game suitable for people of all abilities and all ages, from young adults upwards.

These Have a Go sessions may have particular protocols in place as required by the Covid-19 situation, and these must be observed. Also, some sessions may have to be postponed or cancelled at short notice.

We play two types of croquet - Golf Croquet, which has only one shot per turn and where the balls are played in sequence. Not challenging enough? Try out Association Croquet, where you can earn extra shots in a turn and, perhaps, make a number of hoops in one turn.

Drop in and we'll arrange a game to fit in with the time you have available. Discuss your results over a cup of tea or coffee in our charming clubhouse which dates from the 1920's.

All equipment is provided; please dress for the conditions and wear flat-soled footwear such as trainers.

We are at the southern end of Kelburn Park (between the University and the cable car). Our small car park is on Salamanca Road just below where Salamanca Road and Kelburn Parade meet. We offer the first two sessions free and then, if you would like to find out more, it is $30 for four sessions ($20 for full-time students) with all equipment provided.

See our website for more information, and contact details if you have any queries regarding the Have a Go sessions. It also has details about the costs of booking a corporate or family function where you can hire our premises to play croquet, with guidance by club members if needed, and then use our club house for socialising and serving refreshments.
