Edwin Fox Showcase

On the 135th anniversary of the ship leaving from London on its last ocean voyage reaching New Zealand 3 months later ready to be converted into a refrigeration ship, we will be opening the museum for the evening.

Karen McLeod, manager of The Edwin Fox will give a talk sharing some of the interesting facts in particular around the convict cargo, this will be followed by a visit into the dry dock, a different experience at night.

This is a great opportunity to find out a little bit more about our fantastic tourism attraction that attracts more than 12000 people a year, and given that a lot of our visitors to New Zealand in the future maybe Australian a great chance to skill up on some Australian Convict history.

A great chance to develop connections between local business's/ attractions.

This is a free event but bookings are essential, numbers will be limited and appropriate Covid 19 protocol will be in place.
