There's not far to travel from Kapiti on this tour to enjoy beautiful landscapes and appreciate local arts and culture.

Our first stop will be for a sea-side morning tea at Dolly Varden Beach on the Pauatahanui inlet.

Then on to Pātaka in Porirua where you can take your pick of visiting the excellent heritage exhibition about Ngāti Toa Rangatira, or an exhibition showcasing the work of contemporary artist Wayne Youle.

Common Ground in Johnsonville will host us for lunch - the cafe is housed in the brand-spanking-new Waitohi Community Hub. While here, check out the gorgeous new library (now the largest library in Wellington).

In the afternoon we'll take a scenic country drive through Ohariu Valley and on the way home we'll stop for a visit (and a walk if it takes your fancy) at Aotea Lagoon.

The tour price is $85 per person which includes transport, morning tea and all activities. Please note that lunch is not included in the price.

Pick up is available at selected points in Waikanae, Paraparaumu, Paekakariki, Plimmerton, and Pukerua Bay.

Accessibility: The trip is taken in a comfortable 12-seater mini-bus which is not wheel-chair accessible. Assistance is offered for mounting and dismounting the vehicle. Walking frames can be safely stowed in transit.

Bookings are essential. Please ring Welcome Tours on 04 478 6033 or email info@welcometours.co.nz.
