The Distribution and Feeding Ecology of Marine Sponges in New Zealand
Presenter: Ben Harris, Victoria University Wellington
Despite their abundance, the distribution of sponges in New Zealand is still not well known, especially in regions beyond the limits of SCUBA divers. With the support of the George Mason Charitable Trust, Ben is using a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to determine the abundance and distribution of sponges in previously inaccessible habitats.
