Lee Martin and Chris and the Kingsmen Live

Lee Martin and her band will be joining forces with Chris and the Kingsmen for a spectacular night of live music at the iconic Wunderbar in Lyttleton.

Lee Martin is a New Zealand based singer/songwriter who has been impacting the music scene with her thought-provoking lyrics and storytelling writing style. A childhood spent listening to greats such as Van Morrison, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Leonard Cohen etc. has greatly influenced her music. Lee started her training in classical guitar at the age of 9 and has been singing and performing professionally for the past 15 years. Lee Martin is an old soul with a versatile writing style which allows her to cross genres as she glides easily between folk, rock, blues and country, all the while maintaining her unique sound.
Lee and her band will be performing songs from her recently released EP as well as some brand new songs.

Chris Ward is a Christchurch based singer/songwriter and producer. At the age of 8 he started his musical journey with piano lessons but after watching Eric Clapton ‘Unplugged’ with his dad at age 10, he was determined to learn the guitar. In high school Chris formed his first band and his style was massively influenced by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Ben Harper, Sublime and Bruce Springsteen. It is here where he started writing songs and singing as well.

Chris and the Kingsmen released their debut album in January 2020 and will be captivating the crowd with their fresh sound on this wonderful night.
