Live Performance from Moana Opal

This Friday is the finale of Rotorua’s live performances celebrating 20 years of New Zealand Music Month! We are excited to showcase singer-songwriter Moana Opal with some of her new original material live on the Rotorua Events Facebook page at 8pm, Friday 29 May 2020.

Born in Australia to New Zealand parents, Moana now resides in Rotorua. Her music developed under the tutelage of Jazz pianist, Ben Wilcock, when Moana studied at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology in 2018.

Her gift of storytelling through song mixed with unique vocal sound will captivate the soul. Moana’s music has been described as captivating and once the audience is hooked you cannot help but take the journey with her music.

Moana’s songs have influences of RnB, acoustic soul and funk and she continues to make a name for herself in the local and national live music scene.
