with
PRINS // VÏKÆ
+ support from local DJ's

PRINS (CHCH):

Kicking off 2020 with a bang, PRINS (Alannah Prins) and her band played in The Edge NYE Festival in Hagley Park, Christchurch with a record audience of 22,000 people. Highly sought after, PRINS was asked to play alongside International acts such as Stonebridge [SE], My Baby [AMS] and Bermuda Social [SYD] to name a few at the sold out Highlife Sunsetters Festival at Smales Farm. Recently PRINS performed to a sold out audience with legendary kiwi band Dillastrate at The Ngaio Marsh Center in Christchurch.

PRINS' singles have landed her onto NZ on Air’s NewTracks, receiving radio airplay and eventually launching PRINS into her first International Tour in August 2019.

With over 200,000 streams across all platforms, PRINS has projected herself with force into the music industry. PRINS is releasing her debut EP Friday 30th July. The soundscape that PRINS encapsulates so well is reminiscent of 80's disco house funk with a splash of electro-pop finished off with a heavy dose of infectious bass lines.

PRINS is a quadruple threat: a singer-songwriter, dancer, actress and model. Spending the last few years establishing herself as a world-class act blending elements of electronica, disco and rock'n'roll.

A sultry powerhouse described as a mix between Dua Lipa and Amy Winehouse, PRINS is one to watch out for in 2020.

Born in Ukraine and whose family sough refuge in New Zealand post Chernobyl, VÏKÆ (Veronika Bell) was introduced to the beauty of classical music from an early age as a means of escapism. She studied classical piano and ballet. In her teens, Veronika was training to become an opera singer.

However, Veronika changed musical directions in her second year at Uni and graduated from The University of Otago with a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Performance Voice) and a Diploma for Graduates in Music (Jazz) in 2016. Later she VÏKÆ became a resident vocalist of The Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra and began releasing her own music with her previous band 'VTMNK' .

After an epiphany one brisk Dunedin evening, Veronika created the VÏKÆ persona and moved to Auckland to give the place where she feels most at 'home' a shot:

VÏKÆ is one of NZ's most unique and multifaceted artists with a bright future ahead of her; with a passion for songwriting and making people dance.
