Our prayer for the children, their families, and the hope, peace and resilience of the Samoan people in the aftermath of the measles epidemic crisis.

O le tatalo mo fanau ma aiga fa’apea le fa’amoemoe, filemu ma le loto finau o tagata Samoa i tuaatu/talaatu o le mata’utia o le Misela.

Disease is not the only thing that can be spread. With love, compassion and support we have the ability to help each other even through the toughest of times. Come take a moment in your day to acknowledge the many lives lost to measles in Samoa – and together we can help heal the broken hearts.

We acknowledge the assistance of the New Zealand government and international agencies that rallied to support Samoa in their time of need. We are thankful and remember with gratefulness your alofa and solidarity.

Thank you for your donations. Any assistance received on the day will be forwarded to the Christian World Service Sāmoa Measles Appeal to provide psychosocial support for aiga or families who have lost loved ones.

This community event has been organized in partnership with the Samoan Advisory Council Wellington Region, and the Anglican Social Services Family Centre (Pacific Islands Section.)
