The Rogue's regular Sunday afternoon jazz. Funky, jazzy, soulful jazz. Pizza, beer, jazz, on a Sunday perfect!

This week featuring Kiwi's returning from London including Nick Granville, Leon Philipsen, and Darren Mathiassen

The Nick Granville group is a collection of some of New Zealand's busiest musicians playing jazz but with a contemporary spin. Nick has recently returned from Europe and has performed around the world including at the 02 in London, Birmingham Symphony hall, Liverpool Philharmonic hall, Capitol and United Recording Studios in Los Angeles

He has released 5 albums as a band leader and is in the process of finishing a new album of original music due for release later in 2020.

Featured for this one off concert is Leon Philipsen, a Kiwi bass player now based in London, England and one of NZ's busiest drummers Darren Mathiassen (of the groups Shapeshifter and Holly Smith). Special guest for this will be none other than Chris Buckland on saxophone. Not to be missed; expect explosive playing and good times.
