Immerse yourself in Eastern and South Asian-fusion music, live Bharatanatyan, Kuchipudi and Bollywood dance, Ramayan drama performances, intriguing snippets about the import of Diwali, delicious vegetarian Indian street food, henna and free Indian face painting, Indian crafts, a popular Bhangra dance party at night and plenty of diyas (lamps) to paint and display.

People of all ages and races celebrate this festival of love and open-heartedness. The Tauranga Diwali Festival invites people from all communities to join in, experience and learn more about the rich Indian culture and the famous Festival of Lights. This event is about celebrating cultural diversity in our Tauranga region, about bringing our society together and strengthening our people and their beliefs.
