Chardonnay will be the star of this soiree at The Dome, a part of one of Gisborne’s fine historical landmarks, The Poverty Bay Club (PBC) building, erected in 1898, stands proudly after been restored and open for the public to enjoy. We will sip and sample Gisborne’s finest classic Chardonnays inside The Dome room, possessing its very own magical atmosphere of the charmingly restored building.
A range of beautiful local produce, including fresh kaimoana will be served to match your desired Chardonnay. Not to mention sounds by band The Witchdoctor, including local legend Tyna Keelan, Jame Illingworth, Darren Mathiassen, and Johnny Lawrence.
Dress – for after five!
Ticket includes live music, bubbles on arrival and one glass of Chardonnay matched with an array of different canapes throughout the evening created by the very talented team at The Dome, Reuben Collier and Bryn Lewis. Cash bar available.
To celebrate International Chardonnay Day, The Gisborne Classic Chardonnay Group, a group formed to promote classic oak barrel fermented and aged Chardonnay, has chosen to host an annual weekend of events (always commencing with International Chardonnay Day) celebrating all things Chardonnay for Gisborne and our visitors.
