The Plains Railway Complex Christmas Celebration

Celebrate the festive season at The Plains Railway. Stalls, live entertainment, Train rides behind Ja1260 in Christmas Carriages, and Santa visits at 2pm.

Entry is via cash donation, with various charges for Rides.
Visit the Christmas Cottage and Church along with the other display Buildings. Take a miniature train ride with the Model Engineers, view the Ashburton Woodworkers and Lynn Museums amazing displays of Woodcrafting exhibitions, browse through the Ashburton Fire Museum where kids can try on a real uniform. Admire a display of Vintage Cars from the Ashburton Vintage Car Museum - and much more!
