Ever wondered if you’re making the most of the herbs in your garden? Thought perhaps there was more you could do but not sure what the next step would be? Then this masterclass is one for you!
Join respected herbologist Julia Sich and Malo Head Chef Bert van de Steeg for a journey into the dynamic world of herbs, discovering centuries of their use and how to harvest and cook with herbs to the best effect.

Passionate about plants from a very young age, Julia Sich attributes working at Weleda in Havelock North as a catalyst in driving her interest in herbs and their healing properties.
It is this keen interest, and her own fascination in ‘weeds’ and the often ‘neglected corners’ of a garden, that Julia will share with you at the masterclass.

Chef Bert van de Steeg brings his signature rustic cuisine based on honest, quality ingredients and seasonal produce.
Learn from a master chef, as he showcases the best ways to incorporate herbs into a variety of canapes and herb-infused drinks.

Hosted at the stunning Mangarara Station Eco-Lodge and overlooking the beautiful Horseshoe Lake, this is a masterclass that will leave you seeing herbs in a whole new light.
Mangarara is offering a special weekend accommodation deal of $50 per person, per night, for any masterclass participant who would like to stay on at the eco lodge for the night.
