Using painting as a site to explore causal and non-causal relationships of thought, materiality and metaphysical propositions, Moran's work explores anomalies and phenomenological strangeness drawn from ideas that relate to scientific and philosophical thinking; ideas that suggest vestigiality, improvisation, frailty, the incidental and the potential for ideas as objects to appear and re-appear. This, he considers, occurs in the electromagnetic field that surrounds us which operates as a space where paintings can generate autonomously and interact with us both in terms of their frequency and resonance.

*Opening Wednesday 5 May 5 pm.
