Evy Vermeire (vocals)
Was born in Belgium, and is currently 27 years young and traveling the world. Back in Belgium she can be found singing, playing piano and writing. She studied the jazz vocals in the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and played gigs around Belgium with her jazz trio “Evy en rose”. Now in Auckland for seven months she has had the opportunities to play with great musicians and is happy to be part of the new project Gypsy Jones.”

Phillip Beatson (guitar)
Is a Kiwi guitarist playing gypsy jazz, strongly influenced by Django Reinhardt and other modern players in the style. He has been playing around Auckland in his quartet Twistin` The Swing for eight years, as well as other swing and gypsy groups

Doug Robertson (guitar)
Having completed his Bachelor of Music At the University of Auckland, Doug cut his teeth on Auckland's Jazz, Rock, Folk and Pop scenes separately, on multiple instruments. Because of this, Doug brings an eclectic style to his long time passion of Swing Manouche. His musical career, being as diverse as the culture of travellers from which Gypsy Jazz gets its name, culminates in this style as a full display of his skill and passion.

Dave Schaevitz (double bass)
Originally from Philadelphia, USA, Dave is very grateful to now be in
Auckland. Music has been a huge part of his life ever since primary school. He started out as a trombonist, but always had the bass in tow. Now primarily a double bass player as well as electric bassist, he has been playing in jazz combos, Latin dance, urban gospel and pop bands for over 20 years.”
