Dawn Diver’s sound is fresh, alternative and hard to place in one box.

The Pōneke-based band attributes their genre-defying sound to their diverse musical backgrounds. Multi-instrumentalist lead Ben Lemi (Trinity Roots, Estère), Deanne Krieg (Whim), Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa and Will Sklenars studied jazz while Rose Blake (Blaek) comes from a classical music background and composes experimental electric pop.

June 2020 saw the band’s release of ‘Rosemary,’ an emotional and poetic reflection of Lemi’s late mother. Charged with sweet nostalgia, the track offers tender guitar and synthy details to complement Lemi’s warm vocals.
