FMG Young Farmer of the Year, Taranaki/Manawatu Final

About the FMG Young Farmer of the Year contest:
FMG Young Farmer of the Year is the flagship event for New Zealand Young Farmers and is held in high esteem among the rural community, being one of the top agricultural contests for those under 31. Every year up to 300 contestants battle it out to be named FMG Young Farmer of the Year.

The Tara/Man FMG Young Farmer of the Year Regional Final is hosted in two parts.
The practical day is being held at Awapuni Race Course and kicking off at 8:00am where all eight competitors will go head to head, alongside the FMG Junior Young Farmer of the Year and AgriKids competitors. This is a free event and public entry is welcome - just turn up on the day.

It’s a fun action-packed day for the whole family and we can’t wait to see you there to get in behind and show your support for all our amazing competitors!

The practical day ends with the Tara/Man FMG Young Farmer of the Year Regional Final evening show, where the eight competitors battle it out in a quiz, before dinner is served, points are added up and the winner is announced! Tickets need to be purchased for the evening show event.
