The Hurricane Years

A truthful look back and an honest step forward, ‘The Hurricane Years’ is a retrospective theatrical experience from a minimalist’s mindset.

As one of Aotearoa’s finest up and coming original artists, Arahi is constantly pushing the boundaries of contemporary music and the ways it is conveyed and interpreted. A bona fide artistic soul presented as a master of his craft, with a reputation for never repeating the same show twice. Arahi’s debut EP is to be recorded this year at Roundhead Studios and produced by Dave Kahn.

This show will offer an intimate glimpse into these songs in their most raw and truest form and the songs that have forged the path to here. Joined by special guests throughout the show, displaying the talent of dancers, theatre performers, musicians and artists alike. Arahi has perfected his art of storytelling and will present this through a range of media and theatrics. The show offers perspective - a unique look at Arahi’s unfurling career. The years that have been and that are to come. Arahi says, “This is a chance for people not to see and hear but to really listen and understand. Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”

These are ‘The Hurricane Years'.
