Julia Deans was the lead singer of Kiwi rock band Fur Patrol, best known for their smash hit ‘Lydia’, which rocketed to number one on the NZ charts. This concert will see Julia perform an intimate solo show in the heart of our city at our venue The Garden at Te Marae o Hine in The Square.

RAIL LAND is a celebration of public transport in Aotearoa. The show is a journey of the mind, through song and story, about New Zealand’s on-and-off love affair with its public transport system.

Performing with Julia Deans and Anthonie Tonnon are locals Rusty Frames.

Rusty Frames are an indie folk/rock band based in Papaioea. Formed in 2020 by singer/songwriter/musician Dave Boyack, this group have quickly developed a reputation for their catchy tunes, rocking harmonies, rawness and resolute authenticity. Rusty Frames will undoubtedly capture your attention and imagination, and have you on up your feet!
