Make the shape of the Puanga / Matariki constellation and learn the names of the stars at the same time.

Maramataka (Māori calendar) viewer

Create a star viewer decorated with a month in the Māori calendar that’s special to you.

Thursday 15 July
Connect the dots in the universe

Join the dots and create a collage of the constellation of Puanga and Matariki. Play with colour, light and shadow then project it so that it is big.

Friday 16 July
Woven paper kete

Weave colourful paper strips to make a kete (basket) for kai (food) to celebrate with your family.
