Following hot on the heels of their self-titled debut, Pōneke-based musical wonders KITA make their Whakatū premiere with their dreamscape of synth-pop, layering stunning melodies over soulful beats.

The three-piece — consisting of vocalist, guitarist, and writer Nikita 雅涵 Tu Bryant, keyboardist Ed Zuccollo (The Black Seeds, Trinity Roots, Troy Kingi, Hollie Smith), and drummer Rick Cranson (Little Bushman) — happily meld their distinctive style peppered with moments of modern jazz, vintage rock, polished pop, and grounding soul.

Their ability to connect people and tell stories through music is most poignantly felt at KITA’s live shows — demonstrating exactly what a live gig ought to be.

Tickets $25 plus service fees.
