Come and join us for the annual Maitai Bay Snorkel Day!

Explore Maitai Bay with our experienced snorkel guides. Learn about marine life and the Rāhui that Te Whānau Moana Me Te Rorohuri has put in place, and what positive changes it has made to the bay. You may spot many different reef fish and triplefins.

Fun for the whole whānau. Bring your own gear or get free hire of our mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuits.

No need to pre-register for the event - just come along on the day and register at our tent anytime between 10 am and 2:30 pm!

Recommended for everyone 5 years and up. All children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult beach observer. Experienced guides and advanced safety procedures will be in place on the day. Koha/donations welcome.

This event is funded by Water Safety NZ with the support from DoC Far North and the Far North Surf Rescue.
