Matakana Community Garden was started in November 2012 when the local community came together to transform some land behind the hall in the centre of the village. About 40 enthusiastic willing workers turned out for the first working bee.
Come and enjoy the garden, do a little weeding, planting, learning and take home a share of any produce ready for harvest.
9am to 10.30 but we are often still around till 11 depending on what needs doing.
