We are very excited to launch a series of half-day retreats at our beautiful studio to further share the knowledge and experience of our lovely teachers. These half-day retreats will take place on the first Saturday of the month and aim to help you deepen your practice and enrich your wellness journey.

The first retreat is planned for Saturday, 4 September and will be hosted by Simon Lee and Melissa Billington.

About the retreat
Join us in Cultivating Grounded Foundations as we step into early Spring. In this 4 hour mini-retreat you'll connect to your body, particularly your foundations in feet, legs and tailbone, your breath, your belly, and your spirit. Here we're centred in the Muladhara chakra (meaning base or root support) at the base of the spine and its qualities of acceptance, security and groundedness.

Melissa will guide you in strengthening your physical and energetic root system with her signature Seasonal Structure. You'll be provided a season-specific and mindful meal. Simon will then offer a broad overview of Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, as well as provide insights and tips for staying healthy and grounded as we transition into and through the Spring season.

Both facilitators emphasise individuation and will be able to provide adjustments and recommendations for you to make the most of the offerings. No prior experience is required--come as you are!

About Melissa
With over 8,000 hours of teaching in 5 countries since 2001, Melissa Billington has supported hundreds of people in re-connecting to their inherent powers through establishing firm foundations in the Basics. And even after more than 20 years of practice she still relies on them regularly herself. She grew up in a world of yoga, meditation, mantra, health food and alternative medicine long before it was fashionable! Melissa’s steady self-practice began in 1999 and was birthed out of the blessing of travelling to lands that didn’t have much yoga, and was sustained by the need to centre and align with her own values and strengths wherever she was in the world. Beneath all of her professional experience is her reverence for her First Nation ancestry and deep respect for nature’s rhythms. MYOGA —freedom to unfold— was created in 2008 to systematize the wide range of tools and techniques that Melissa has found are most accessible and effective.

About Simon
Simon has been working with us for a while now and he has quickly become one of the most loved teachers on the island. Known for his Yin Masterclass, Simon also holds a specific interest in Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga and Ancient Ayurvedic Wisdom. With the foundation of his knowledge grounded in Samkhya Philosophy, he draws inspiration from nature, finding harmony with the self and all that surrounds. Simon previously worked as a retreat leader at the internationally award-winning Aro Hā Wellness Retreat.
