Learn how to paint a native bird.
Join our bird expert, Dr David Vieco-Galvez, as we learn to paint watercolours of native birds. David will teach you the steps to creating your own artwork and you will have a beautiful painting to take home with you!

Whānau friendly He Tohu tour.
We will start the day with a whānau friendly tour of He Tohu to learn about those who helped shape our country through leaving their tohu (signs). Then we will learn to paint tohu in the form of ngā manu (birds), native to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Suited to children ages 8 and over
Due to the fiddly nature of watercolour painting, this programme is best suited for children ages 8 and over, with a supervising parent or guardian.
