Open Day at Matuku Link

Welcome to our 5th Open Day!

We’d love to share our progress of four years of hard work by many volunteers, funders, sponsors and teams. Come celebrate World Wetland Day and the beauty of our environment, we’d love to see you at our family-friendly fun day with information from our friends Forest & Bird, Million Metres, Whitebait Connection, Birds New Zealand and PestFreeWaitakereRanges, plus stalls with locally made produce and products. Of course, our famous fundraising bbq and cake stall will be there. Spot our weta, fantail, tui or kereru and perhaps even spy on our resident pateke or the rare and elusive namesake Matuku (bittern). Guided walks, the official opening of our boardwalk, eel feeding and bug spotting: something to enjoy for everyone.

Please join us for a day of wetland appreciation and fun, parking on site, entry opposite the Waitakere Valley Fire Station.
