The Gisborne Presbyterian Parish is presenting an Anzac Commemoration on Anzac weekend.
This is a display depicting Peace and Harmony using a variety of natural materials, by clever and talented Gisborne people.
In art, Harmony is described as the visually satisfying effect of combining similar or related elements.
Unity or harmony is an important principle of design that gives the artwork a sense of cohesion or coherence. It is the wholeness or completeness. Unity and harmony are used to tie a composition together and help the composition make sense as a whole piece.
The Church doors will be open between 1- 4 pm on Anzac Day and on Monday 1-4 pm. There will also be an area of remembrance that the public are invited to add a loved one's name. It is hoped that a sense of peace and harmony will be experienced by all who attend this exhibition.
