If you’re wanting to learn throwing clay on the wheel, then this is for you.

In this 4-weeks beginner’s course with Ani Rowell and Julia Neumann you will learn the basic techniques and get to throw your first bowls, pots and vases. We will dedicate the last of the workshops to glazing our products.

This workshop is all about connecting with clay, getting your hands dirty, learning to “centre” a lump of clay and then having fun exploring what can be created. Possibilities are endless once you know the basics!

What working with clay can also teach you is to let go of perfectionism and enjoy the journey. The result is usually really awesome, too.

Julia from Love & Joy Ceramics and Ani from All fired up at Camo Chicken Co have teamed up as Pottery Wheel School Taupo to share their joy in working on the wheel with you, and to give you a great tutoring ratio. Maximum 8 participants, i.e. only 4 per tutor!

All materials and firing included.

Please register by email to julianeumann@outlook.com. You will need to make payment to secure your space.
