Based upon stone circles around the world, Stonehenge Aotearoa is a complete and working structure designed for its precise location on the Earth. Situated in New Zealand's Wairarapa countryside it is a window into the past where the visitor can rediscover the knowledge of their ancestors. You receive a map, watch a 12-minute audio -visual, explore exhibitions then take yourself around our henge. You can explore how the henge works but you can also have a lot of fun experimenting with the acoustics. For that little bit of time you can become your ancestors, for I am sure they did exactly the same thing.
