Sprig Connections Welcomes Aroha Afternoons

Launching a new 2021 initiative at the Little Sprig Seatoun, “Sprig Connections,” aims to cultivate a space that creates more understanding around the issues that divide us.

Inviting local organisations and the community together, through themes that affect us all, these brief, informal sessions look to engage in an open, respectful environment, create stronger connections, and link us to continued forms of education and inspired action.

A one hour, conversation-based event, we welcome you to stay afterwards for drinks, food, and continued conversation.

Local to Seatoun, Aroha Afternoons evolved after the 2019 March Christchurch attacks as a way of connecting neighbours from different backgrounds to learn and listen from lived experiences.

Working with underrepresented and refugee communities, Aroha Afternoons looks to bridge community gaps and are including a diverse community to engage in shared conversation.
