Gather your chums and join us for Tea Time Talkies at The Roxy - a relaxed, indulgent Sunday afternoon with a classic movie and delicious Devonshire Tea!
On Sunday 4th July, in celebration of the films 80th anniversary, we’ll be screening the suspenseful, labyrinthine, and brilliantly cast, The Maltese Falcon (1941). Academy Award® winner Humphrey Bogart stars in this classic film noir as tough San Francisco private detective Sam Spade in the classic, convoluted story of Spade's involvement with a deadly band of international thieves who will lie, double-cross and murder to obtain a small, jewel-encrusted statue known as The Maltese Falcon. The Maltese Falcon is one of the most influential noirs, as well as a showcase for Humphrey Bogart at his finest.
The film screening will consist of a 30-minute intermission where a delicious Devonshire Tea* awaits (a cup of tea and traditional homemade scone with cream and jam).
