Wairua Sinfonietta Presents: New Beginning

Wairua Sinfonietta is proud to present our first concert of the year ‘New Beginning’, featuring a piece of new work by NZ Composer Erin Fagan. The concert will also showcase Indian-Kiwi violinist Joella Pinto and French-Kiwi cellist Martin Roberts performing a double concerto by Brahms - written in the summer of 1887 in Lake Thun, Switzerland. Second half of the programme will feature one of the most celebrated work ‘Eroica’ Symphony by Beethoven - a masterpiece regarded as a turning point in musical history.

As New Zealand's only volunteer-based orchestra dedicated to improve society through putting on charity concerts to raise social awareness and funds, we are proud to support Pillars for this concert. Pillars provides support to children and families that have a parent or relative in prison.

All profits from this concert will be donated to Pillars.
