Willies Open Mic 15th Anniversary - 15 Years in Christchurch

15 years and still going...

Willie McArthur has been around the Christchurch music scene since 1994, When he Married a Kiwi lass and emigrated from Scotland. During a 4 year trip to Scotland in 2002, Willie, when not gigging, would visit local Open mics in Paisley and Glasgow. When he returned, an opportunity arose to start an open mic in Christchurch in 2006 and Willie's Open Mic was born.

There was also showcases and special events, and we have seen such amazing talent through the years. Bands formed, albums recorded, some performers becoming accomplished full-time musicians, in Christchurch and beyond.

We kick off at 6:30 pm, with open mic starting at about 7.
